Our vision

The internet will have an increasing effect on the translation sector. The primary consequence will be an increasing number of networks of translators and translation agencies, and eventually networks of networks. This development is already taking place. The worldwide access available to every individual will make translations decreasingly dependent on location. The added value of a professional translation agency compared to individual translators is, and will continue to be, their coordinating and controlling function.
The demand for translations will increase because of rapidly advancing communications and despite the introduction of continually improving translation software. The digital highway can therefore be compared to a real motorway, where an increase in capacity leads to an increase in its use.

Vertaalbureau De Goeij BV strives to achieve the maximum possible level of automation, particularly for our order processing. The aim of this is to cut costs and improve the clarity of the processes. We strive to balance the rapidly increasing costs of automation and special software with the cost reductions that it produces, so the net result is primarily expressed in terms of improved quality and continuity.

We also strive to automate the translation process itself, in particular through the purchase of computer assisted translation software. However, there is very little scope for initiative in this area. The yield it achieves is still very modest because current translation software is actually only cost-effective when used with a particular type of repetitive and usually technical text.

We not only strive for innovation through technology, but also through a permanent search for new opportunities in the area of national and international cooperation.

Our motto is therefore:

Think Global, Act Local
